The Prairie Region of Photographic Arts has been around the prairies for a long time. It has pre-dated many current organizations with the distinction of being influenced by our prairie environment and cultures. Unlike many local photo and camera clubs, the PRPA does not hold regular meetings. Instead, the PRPA operates by sharing the images and judgings of images (in various formats such as prints, slides, and electronic files). These images travel in the form of circuits and salons from local cells spread around the prairie provinces where members can view and leave comments for the originating artist. Annual Outing and AGMThe PRPA annual general meeting and outing are hosted by various regional clubs from year to year. In the summer of 2011, the Foothills Camera Club of Calgary, Alberta hosted the outing which was situated in Drumheller, Alberta. Click here for the details... The 2012 summer outing is currently being planned by the hosting club (Regina Photo Club). On the weekend of June 8,9,& 10th of 2012, join us for a fun filled photographic retreat at Arlington Beach.
